The Post Oak Hotel is verified luxury indeed!
The first part of my journey begins at the beautiful Post Oak Hotel in Uptown Houston, Texas. I recently had the opportunity to visit Houston Texas and stay at The Post Oak Hotel. The experience was one that I will not soon forget. This verified luxury hotel gave me everything that I needed for my four-day stay.
When I arrived, I was greeted by a concierge staff that opened our car door, greeted us, took our luggage, and escorted us to check in. The check in staff seated us in comfy upholstered chairs and asked if we needed anything to drink. The bellman waited for us to check in and then kindly followed us upstairs to our room where he removed our items and placed them where we wanted. He gave careful instructions on how everything worked as this room came with all the bells and whistles. With a push of a button the television rose from a marble console at the foot of the bed. The drapes and sheers were both remote controlled revealing a panoramic view of downtown Houston. The bar was well stocked with top shelf liquors and beverages. There was 24-hour room service as well as 24-hour housekeeping services. Any service that you needed was just a tap away on the iPad. Room stay total was $3700
The room was exquisite, from the chandeliers to the well-placed accessories and decor. They made sure that every item we needed was there at our disposal. It was so relaxing to have the at home feeling so far away.
Our evening was quite relaxing with a dinner at Willie G's Seafood restaurant on the property grounds. The food was fresh, and the atmosphere was great. I could clearly see why they included this as a property experience. Appetizer and drink total was around $150
The next morning, we had breakfast at The Bloom and Bee downstairs in the hotel. Oh how the decor was incredible. It had a quaint pool side view that made it so much more relaxing. I will say that the breakfast was a true blend of the luxury that this hotel offers. And surprisingly the plates offered quite a bit of tasty food and fresh fruit. Breakfast total was $344.
Next, we decided to relax out by the pool and let the kids have a little water fun. And yes the pool experience was just as great as everything else thus far. And even though we had just eaten the thought of a pleasant shrimp cocktail and sangrias by the water sound nice. So we ordered up along with California rolls, a few complimentary scrunchies, and a bit of free sun. This is a guest only experience so there was not a crowd. Pool tab total $114.
To walk all of these goodies off I took a tour of the property and slid into one of two dealerships on the property. They offer a Rolls Royce and a Bentley dealership for those willing to drop a few coins on a new vehicle.
Later that evening I felt as though my throat was a little sore so I sent my husband downstairs to see if they had some sort of throat meds. They didn't have any but offered a car service to the drug store to grab meds and you know that I took it!
The driver continued on with the first-class service by making that we never opened a door and waiting for us beside the car until we were finished shopping.
I was really sad to leave because I totally loved the pampering. But the baker in me could not leave the property with going to the hotel bakery and grabbing a few treats. I downed those macaroons like there was no tomorrow and went back for more. Bakery total $125.
